WHO WE ARE

A Community Pursuing Jesus
Harvest Church is a community of faith in the borderland of El Paso, TX. We foster communities that pursue Jesus, become like Him, and work to make Him known.

What does this look like practically?
Each pillar in our mission statement is worked out both personally and together as the church. The Christian life is personal but never private, and God's mission in the world is expressed through the church.
We pursue Jesus together by gathering every Sunday to worship God. We also make space to encounter Him in prayer each week. Our trained prayer team is always available at the altar during services.
We become like Jesus by learning about Him, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out, and walking in obedience to His teachings.
You don't have to do this alone! Joining a small group or taking a class can give you space to grow in friendship, knowledge, prayer, and faith.
Serving is another essential aspect of spiritual formation. We regularly serve our communities (often through small groups!), and invite you to join one of our many ministry teams. The first step in joining a team is to take our DNA class.
We make Jesus known by reaching out to our city, our nation, and around the world in word and action. Through REACH, our global and local missions ministry, we support missionaries, partner with ministries, and offer short-term missions opportunities for people in our church.
Our core values at Harvest Church shape who we are and how we live
WHAT WE VALUE
POWER
We value the active power and presence of God.
We believe that what God did in the book of Acts,
He still does today. We cultivate space for the Holy Spirit to move through vibrant prayer, Spirit-filled worship, and a deep sense of expectancy.
His presence changes everything.

FORMATION
We value the process of becoming like Christ.
Our world is always forming us, but we choose to be counter-formed by Jesus. We believe transformation begins with the decision to follow Him and continues as we’re discipled over a lifetime. That happens through community, Scripture, prayer, and everyday obedience.
MISSION
We value the redemptive mission of God.
We are called to make disciples here in El Paso, across the borderland, and around the world.
We live missionally in our workplaces, neighborhoods, and families, and we participate in intentional efforts like local outreach, global missions, church planting, and generous giving.

YOU
What We Believe

Our essential beliefs are rooted in the authority
of Scripture and the historic Christian faith.
The Inspired Scriptures
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for life and doctrine.
2 Timothy 3:16
The One True God
There is one God, eternally existing in three co-equal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Romans 8, Ephesians 1:13–14
The Deity of Jesus Christ
God, in love, sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and rise from the dead, securing salvation for all who believe.
1 Corinthians 15:1–8
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live transformed lives, equips the church for mission, and makes God's presence real in the world today.
Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22–23
The Fall of Man
God created humanity good and in His image. But through voluntary sin, man fell, bringing physical and spiritual death and separation from God.
Genesis 1:26–27, 3:6
The Salvation of Man
Salvation is God’s free gift to all. Christ’s death on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. All have sinned, and all can be saved by putting their trust in Jesus as Savior and following Him as Lord.
Romans 3:23, 6:23, John 3:16
Repentance
Those who trust in Christ are called to repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into the Church.
Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38
The Church and Its Mission
The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to reach the lost and disciple the saved, helping every believer become a fully devoted follower of Christ.
Ephesians 4:1–16
The Return of Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ will come again to judge the living and the dead, to bring justice, and to fully establish His kingdom.
Titus 2:13, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17
Final Judgment
There will be a final judgment, where those who are in Christ will experience eternal life with God, and those who reject Him will be eternally separated from His presence.
Matthew 25:31–46, Revelation 20:11–15
